ABSTRACT

The article presents information on Saadiyat island, developed by Abu Dhabi, United Arab emirates, as a tourist attraction center. The 27 billion dollar project is reportedly Abu Dhabi's attempt to raise its international profile and establish it as a global tourism destination. The 27 square kilometer island is 500 meters off the mainland and is slated to be transformed by 2020 with high profile cultural projects.
