ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the study done by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) to determine the cases of fraud and abuse existing within the service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) program of the Small Business Administration (SBA). It reports on the findings of GAO which reviewed SDVOSB contract awards and protests and found that the fraud and abuse in the SDVOSB program could result in legitimate service-disabled veterans' firms losing contracts to ineligible firms.
