ABSTRACT
The article discusses the reasons behind the departure of employees, along with the views of F. Leigh Branham of Keeping the People Inc. on each. The prime reason for early departures is the unexpected job description. Branham suggests giving a realistic job preview to every candidate. He also advises employers to hire for fit and match their talents to their needs. Lack of hope for career growth may also drive departures and the antidote is to provide self-management tools and training.
