ABSTRACT
The article discusses the downturn observed in the sponsorship market of Great Britain. The downturn is corroborated with various developments including Sainsbury Supermarket Ltd.'s pulling out of its association with ITV1 prime time drama premieres, and dropping of sports icon Tiger Woods by a cash-strapped General Motors Corp. Rupert Pratt, managing partner of specialist consultancy Generate Sponsorship admits that it is true that there is going to be a downturn in the market.
