The article reports that RCN Telecom Services Inc.'s Business Division proposes to offer a three tiers of DOCSIS 3.0 service to the small-and-medium-size business in Manhattan and parts of Boston to support the demand of multiple users. RCN plans to tie up with its competitors the Time Warner Cable Inc. and Comcast Cable Communication Inc. in providing a DOCSIS 3.0 technology. It notes that RCN will use the Cisco's uBR10012 CMTSs and Cisco's DPC300 channel-bonded cable modems to power its tiers.
