ABSTRACT
The article reports on the acquisition of privately-held healthcare information technology services provider Patriot Technologies by Florida-based communications and information technology (IT) company Harris Corp. Patriot provided the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, Health and Human Services and the Federal health Architecture with healthcare IT, imaging and enterprise software solutions. A spokesman for Harris said that the Patriot buy is part of its expansion effort.
