ABSTRACT
Assume that L is a topological vector lattice and Y is a closed subset of L+ × RN, where RN denotes the N-dimensional Euclidean space. It is shown that the set Y - L+ × R+N is closed if Y has appropriate monotonicity properties. The result is applicable to the case of L equal to L∞ with the Mackey topology, τ(L∞, L1).
