ABSTRACT
The article reports on the new national minimum standards for children's homes and fostering and adoption agencies in Great Britain. It is stated that new standards unveiled in September 2009 could prompt a huge shake-up among agencies. It is noted that recruitment of managers could also become difficult for these agencies. Janet Rich, children's services development officer for the National Care Association, says small care homes are struggling because their management structures are not big.
