ABSTRACT
The article discusses the managerial characteristics needed for the U.S. Army officers. It is stated that the language of the modern military as well as the mindset is pervaded by a ridiculously corporate way of thinking. The insistence that everyone provides products to the customer distinguishes the managerial mindset of an officer corps. It is stated that an officer corps with breadth of mind and precision of thought, despising notions of determinism is needed.
