ABSTRACT
The article presents a study on the comparison between the invasive direct lateral approaches and the anterior supine intermuscular approach in primary total hip arthroplasty. It mentions the three basic categories in an invasive total hip arthroplasty that includes an abbreviated incision, less soft-tissue dissection, and an approach with no cutting of muscles. Moreover, patients that have undergone hip arthroplasty through the supine intermuscular approach have promoted early recovery.
