The article presents a study on flexor tendon pulley systems of the hand to understand it relationship between the flexor digitorum superficialis and profundus for the treatment of injuries in the flexor tendon. The anatomic layout of the flexor digitorum superficialis and profundus along with other pulley systems in the arm are investigated. Moreover, flexor digitorum superficialis serves as an additional pulley for the flexor digitorum profundus and that a coupling exists between the two.
