Study Shows Restructuring Decline

The article focuses on a study from Morgan Joseph which found a decline in restructuring transactions in the U.S. in 2008. The study noted that lenders are unwilling to accelerate bankruptcy sales and not to extend debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing for restructuring arrangements. Results also showed that DIP loan spreads increased in 2009 compared to 2008.
