ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the Southern Nevada Index of Leading Indicators released on October 13, 2009. The index posted a monthly gain in September 2009 by rising to 126.26 from 125.91 the previous month. The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Center for Business and Economic Research released the index that highlighted the positive contributions of McCarran International Airport passengers, gross gaming revenue, and visitor volume. According to the author, the gains recorded gives hope that the recession is bottoming.
