ABSTRACT
The article reports an inquiry faced by senior human resource (HR) professionals John Last of RBS and Cathy Turner of Barclays on the lack of women in the top positions of the banking industry in Great Britain. Last and Turner appeared before the Treasury Select Committee in relation to an investigation into diversity in the country's banks. Last has confirmed that new policies have been introduced to boost numbers of women in top positions.
