The article discusses the decrease of the value of alert in the ever increasing alerts in the U.S. It states that the clinical decision support (CDS) is computer functionality for comparing pieces of patient information to generate patient-specific advice or alerts, on the other hand, the CDS is the most common computer-based error-prevention tools. However, the growing number of alerts in the interest of patient safety is desensitizing.
