How I made a difference at work

Webb, Clive
July 2009
People Management;7/2/2009, Vol. 15 Issue 14, p30
The author describes the efforts of professional services firm KPMG to develop a global learning and development program for their new risk advisory service in 2003. He explains how KPMG implemented a cascade model of training, creating a network of accredited trainers responsible for bringing the program in their respective countries. While he agrees that recognizing cultural diversity is important, he claims that emphasis on cultural similarities between regions is the key to a successful learning and development program.
