ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of Scripps Networks Interactive to take the controlling interest in the Travel Channel while Cox Communications will retain 35%. The asset is valued at 975 million U.S. dollars under the terms of agreement. The partnership is expected to have about 696 million dollars in net debt as result of the deal. Barclays Capital and Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom are the advisers of the Scripps Networks Interactive in the transaction.
