ABSTRACT
The author discusses how teachers' work is comprised of a metaphor which is usually applied in advertising to recruit more teachers. Often, teachers are said to be regarded as religious instead of professionals as they are usually compared to shepherds. Similarly, teachers are also viewed as soldiers as they train learners and serve as secondary parents.
