ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a new method of engaging donors in fundraising through the use of the telephone. The best practices stated by the Code of Fundraising Practice of the British Institute of Fundraising are giving clear specifications and guidance to ensure that contacts are being asked if they are glad to receive the call and if they would be equally glad to receive future calls. Also mentioned is a briefing on the use of the telephone by external fundraisers and the professional and sensitive manner on best practice standards.
