ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a study by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) on Legal Services Corp.'s (LSC) governance, accountability practices and internal control improvements needed in grants management. It claims that in order for LSC to implement GAO recommendations, it will be critical for its board and management to maintain priority focus. It provides information on the LSC's action to implement these recommendations that are aimed at improving governance and management.
