ABSTRACT
The article presents a report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) on the role of strategic federal planning to help government officials make decisions about climate change adaptation. It notes that federal efforts could help officials address the challenges such as training and education on the impact of climate change and some adaptation strategies. GAO recommends the development of a national strategic plan that will guide the nation's effort to adapt to climate change.
