ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a study by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) on the evaluation of army body armor test results and procedures needed before fielding. The study observes the Preliminary Design Model and First Article Testing at the Army's Aberdeen Test Center. It indicates that it is questionable that the Army meets its First Article Testing objectives. GAO recommends an assessment of First Article Testing data and peer review of the Aberdeen Test Center.
