ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a study by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) on the initiatives of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on addressing the barriers to equal employment opportunity (EEO) in its workforce. The study reviews the policies, guidance and diversity plans of DHS to deal with these barriers. It discovers the effort of DHS to change its original target completion dates on planned activities to deal with these barriers.
