ABSTRACT
The article reports on the study conducted by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) to assess the impact of Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). The study includes reviewing of the relevant documentation as well as meeting with the officials from the Office of Financial Stability (OFS). It cites the three recommendations given by the agency to the Secretary which include the need to document and communicate the result of its determination and to update its projected use of funds.
