ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the alternative energy source initiative by Florida Canyon Mining Inc. at its gold mine in Nevada. Florida Canyon utilized ElectraTherm Inc.'s Green Machines, a system developed to store waste heat from a geothermal source and convert it to electricity. The move is part of various projects of the mining industry that aimed to explore and develop other source of energy to address the issue of price fluctuations and supply of conventional fuel.
