Mrs. Fatma Aliye and Mrs. Emine Semiye, the daughters of Ahmet Cevdet PaÅŸa who was a famous Ottoman historian, jurist and statesman. Mrs. Fatma Aliye and Mrs. Emine Semiye are well-known women important for Ottoman woman movement. They affected their own age in which they lived by their works, ideas, activities and lives. These two sisters began to correspondence since they were 15 years old. We have a letter written by Mrs. Fatma Aliye to Mrs. Emine Semiye. At the time of this correspondence, Mrs. Fatma Aliye was 43 years old and Mrs. Emine Semiye was 37 years old. The letter is reflecting the ideas of Fatma Aliye in her maturity age who wrote that even if the woman with above 30 years olds can be beneficial to the society with their ideas and their accredited personalities. Letter gives not only information about the biographies of the authors but also the Ottoman woman movement in those days.
