ABSTRACT
The article features Seattle, Washington-based Alice in Chains band which plays post-punk/metal hybrid music. It says that the heroin addiction of the band's singer Layne Staley had caused the band to quit touring for their self-titled third album. However, band's surviving members, including drummer Sean Kinney, bassist Mike Inez and guitarist Jerry Cantrell had able to release their new album "Black Gives Way to Blue" which introduces vocalist William DuVall.
