ABSTRACT
The article presents information on "Preparing and Transferring Services in the Public and Non-profit Sector," a guide from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) that is expected to provide human resources (HR) professionals with plenty of practical advice to follow when dealing with the people side of mergers and transfers. The guide outlines the common problems that may occur as an implication of Transfer of Undertaking (Tupe). The authors of the guide are members of the national HR Group for Substance Misuse Services.
