The article presents updates on the activities of Jewish people in California, which were published in the January 1986 issue of the "Western States Jewish History" journal. A life story of Doctor Albert Shumate, who prepared a keepsake on Isaac Friedlander for the Book Club of California, is planned to be published by the journal. A Jewish Genealogical Center computer program was endowed by Doctor Doug Goldman and wife, Lisa, at the Museum of the Jewish Diaspora in Tel Aviv, Israel. Leon Strauss, who worked as editor, passed away in February 1985.
