The article reports a claim made by Amadeus IT Group SA' managing director Tim Russell on the use global distribution systems (GDS) by Ryanair Holdings PLC in the future. According to Russell, agents prefer to use GDSs rather than trawl the web. To get access to web-only fares, Amadeus is working with its airline partners. The number of low-cost carriers that distribute through Amadeus at the moment is 56.
