The article reports that Twentieth Century-Fox Television Inc. and Simon Cowell, judge on the television program "American Idol," are negotiating a deal to launch an American version of the hit British television program "The X Factor." Cowell would executive produce "The X Factor," for Fox and may appear as a judge too.
