ABSTRACT
The article discusses the decision of U.S. President Barack Obama to abandon the George Bush administration's proposed installment of missile defence shield in Eastern Europe. It states that the change in the defence plan will benefit the Russo-Polish relations. Meanwhile, the turnaround in the said proposal will not support the Civic Platform-led government or the standing of Prime Minister Donald Tusk in presidency due to lack of support for the proposals among the Polish voters.
