ABSTRACT
The article reports that several airline companies led by British Airways PLC (BA) have outlined an agreement to the United Nations to cut airline carbon emissions by 50%. According to Willie Walsh, owner of BA, the members of International Air Transport Association (IATA), have pledged to stabilize net carbon dioxide emissions by 2020 and reduce them by 50% on the 2005 level by 2050.
