Life After Librarianship: What Will Retirement Look Like?

The article reports on a dissertation which was used as a data subset collected by the Workforce Issues in Library and Information Science 1 (WILIS1) in 2007. It points out that the study aims to gain a better understanding of the turnover among librarians and archivists. It offers survey results on several aspects of the subjects including demographic structure and professional history. It also notes the finding that library service retirement does not equate to public service requirement.
