ABSTRACT
The article offers developments in the pharmaceutical industry in the U.S. It states that cases of global cancer increased by 30 percent and by 2020, the number will increase by 17 million. Roche AG chief executive officer (CEO) Pascal Soriot will be the head chief operating officer (COO) of the pharmaceutical division of Genentech Inc. Pfizer Inc. agrees to pay about 70 million dollars to settle claims that has illegally tested Trovan on children during a meningitis outbreak.
