ABSTRACT
The article presents information on banned violent sports in the U.S. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is mixed martial arts (MMA) sport. Originally founded in 1993, the UFC was purchased in 2001 by a Nevada-based limited liability company called Zuffa LLC. Despite the exponential growth of MMA competition and the UFC, there remain nine states, including New York, that have refused to sanction MMA fights.
