The article presents information on Irene Dimitry, who is probably the largest renewable-energy developer in Michigan. She has been overseeing the unfolding of some 2 billion dollar in investments that DTE Energy Co.'s Detroit Edison Co. plans to make to meet Michigan's new requirements for renewable energy. She was involved in negotiations over broad 2008 energy laws that, among other things mandate that 10 percent of the utility's electricity come from renewable sources by 2015.
