ABSTRACT
The article reports on the 1.99 percent increase of mortgage by Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) early October 2009. A fee of 1,199 pounds is required due to HSBC's 1.99 percent deal which is at 60 percent loan to value (LTV). Past figures from eMoneyfacts expose that 60% LTV deals have risen by 1,160 percent in 12 months from 25 to 315 however, 90 percent LTV deals have decreased by 78 percent, from 475 to 106 over the same period.
