The article discusses the medical case of a 48-year-old immunocompetent male with pulmonary cryptococcosis which presented as a solitary lung cancer. It says that medical assessment showed the growth of Cryptococcus neoformans. It mentions the use of F-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (FDG-PET) to identify benign lesions. It also presents images related to the medical case including the chest radiograph, the computed tomography (CT) image of a solitary mass, and the microscopic lung tissue examination.
