ABSTRACT
The article informs that rubber extruder Sperry & Rice Manufacturing Co. LLC has acquired the appliance component extrusion business of Derby Cellular Products Inc. to expand its own appliance segment. Jim Gregory, chief executive officer (CEO) and president of Sperry & Rice, said that the firm was negotiating with Derby for several months before the purchase, and during the process became aware of grants and secured it that helped fund the transaction and subsequent training.
