ABSTRACT
The article informs that Michelin North America Inc. and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. have secured long-term labor peace by reaching multiyear agreements with the United Steelworkers (USW). The newly ratified contract between BFGoodrich tire manufacturing unit of Michelin and the USW assures plant protection over the next three years. The contract will also maintain current wages, health care and cost-of-living allowances and guarantees 90-percent job security for workers.
