ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the development of plastic laser welding without additives through the high-power diode lasers by Dilas Diodenlaser GmbH in Germany. The researchers discovered that plastic welding without additives is possible in the wavelength range of 2000 nanometers to 1900 nanometers in which the vibration of polymer molecules creates heat in the material. It notes that this technological adoption is suited in pharmaceutical, medical and food packaging industry.
