ABSTRACT
The article presents information about academic activities undergoing in the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Labor History, University of Linz, Austria. Several manuscripts are being prepared for publication. Karl R. Stadler is working on Origins and Characteristics of Fascism in Austria, Richard Bernaschek: A Monograph, and The Austrian Socialist Emigration in Great Britain. Gerhard Botz has two manuscripts under way. 15 July 1927: Turning Point in the History of the First Austrian Republic and Carl Dopf: A Orker's Life 1883-1968, hich is being synthesized from Dopf's literary bequest. Hans Hautmann's current writings include Workers', Soldiers', and Peasants' Councils in Austria, 1918, 1924 and Franz Werfel's Barbara oder die Frommigkeit and the Revolution in Vienna in 1918. He also is revising a 1970 publication, The Lost Soviet Republic: The Beginnings of The Communist Party of Austria. Herbert Steiner is working with materials relating to labor history in the Austrian state archives. Gerhard Silvestri et al. are compiling Otto Bauer: A Bibliography.
