ABSTRACT
The article informs that Bridgestone Corp. has regained the number 1 spot in 2008 from Michelin North America Inc. as the world's largest tire maker. Global tire rankings by the journal "Rubber & Plastics News," show that the estimated size of the global tire market increased about 9 percent to 140 billion dollar. Twenty Chinese companies made their presence in the rankings this year, which is the most of any country.
