ABSTRACT
The article presents a probability model to predict the influence of employment opportunities in the labor force participation. The model has been compared to the industrial and labor relations review in 1964 by Alfred Tella. The equations of Tella are also used to compare the alternative predictions of Thomas Denburg and Kenneth Strand and Lester Thurow and L. D. Taylor. In addition, Jacob Mincer suggested that Denburg and Strand have estimated a virtual tautology. Other information related to the topic is offered.
