This article focuses on research work on labor organizations. Rodrigue Blouin, a scholar, is continuing research on union accreditation in Quebec. The publication of his book is planned for the beginning of 1978. Jean Sexton, a scholar is working on a project entitled Employment Security, which aims at defining the different types of employment security and at establishing the link in this area between collective bargaining and public manpower policy. Researcher Leo Roback is investigating attitudes and polices of labor organizations in Quebec regarding worker participation in management. The study involves examination of both legislative factors and enterprises in which such participation exists. Clinton E. Jencks, a scholar, is continuing his research into the history of the Western Federation of Miners of the period 1893-1916 and its successor. A central archive for union documents has been established at Norlin Library of the University of Colorado, Boulder, The International Union of Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers 1916-1967.
