The article presents information on studies by various researchers at the University of Montreal regarding labor and industrial relations in 1974. A study on the link between the degree of centralization of administrative structures and the quality of labor relations is being conducted by Jean-Marie Rinville. Claude D'Aoust and Andre Rousseau are studying the legal apparatus that ensures a measure of workers' protection in Quebec. A project participated by Gilles Guerin aimed to determine the optimum number of student admissions to obtain a given relative distribution in each grade or level of a structured system with transitions at the end of each period.
