ABSTRACT
The article presents a study conducted by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) regarding the internal controls and accounting procedures of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC). It cites that GAO evaluated FDIC's internal control and has identified 4 issues that affect FDIC's accounting for the funds it distribute. GAO recommends that FDIC's chief financial officer must develop a document procedural guidance and its dissemination and implementation must be performed.
