ABSTRACT
The article presents a study conducted by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) regarding the delay on security clearance process in the U.S. It notes that GAO found that U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) have made initial decisions on security clearances within an average of 87 days.
