ABSTRACT
The article discusses a study performed by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) which found that the Federal Protective Services (FPS) within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has taken actions to respond the challenges it faces. GAO discovered that these challenges affect FPS's ability to protect government employees and members of the public working in and visiting federal facilities. However, GAO detected that many of these actions have not been fully implemented.
